Paul Wait, general manager of sales at Virgin Atlantic, discusses the airline's strategy in luring business travelers, the trading-down trend and the importance of an airline alliance. Wait offered an optimistic outlook for the future of travel and airlines. "Travel is a necessity, particularly for doing business, and as the pace of globalization quickens and as we see major corporations emerge from the Middle East and the Far East, the Western countries in Europe and North America are going to have to travel even more to make sure that they are going to stay alive," he said.
