Foursquare had a record number of check-ins Thursday, as Facebook launched its own location service -- a phenomenon observers attribute to users interested in comparing the two services. In an interview, Dennis Crowley said he wasn't concerned about Facebook's so-called "Foursquare killer" and was confident that his service would continue to thrive. "Everyone is doing check-ins and we knew everyone was going to do check-ins. It's what you do after that matters," he said.
