Grant paves way for site selection for Kansas airport

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded Leavenworth County, Kan., a grant for nearly $150,000 to support a site selection study for a new airport in the county. Residents would need to vote to approve funds for future work, including environmental and financial reports, after the site study, according to county commissioners.
