Shasta daisies: An old standby continues to thrive

Shasta daisies are traditional garden plants that begin to flower in late spring and last until fall, growing as high as 4 feet. The daises thrive with a lot of sun and fertile soil that is well-drained, notes Gary Bachman, who is an assistant professor of horticulture at Mississippi's Coastal Research and Extension Center.
