2 coastal N.J. towns get approval to build steel seawall

Federal and New Jersey officials have approved the construction of a $40 million steel seawall to help protect the towns of Mantoloking and Brick from storm surges. The wall, which will be covered by sand, will stand 16 feet above the beach and extend 32 feet underground. The project is expected to get underway this fall.
