Digital video is dialing for television's ad dollars

Digital video for Web-based and mobile advertising will grow at about a 40% pace this year and next, with a good portion of the dollars coming out of former television-ad budgets, according to an Interactive Advertising Bureau survey. Seventy-five percent of U.S. ad executives polled said it was likely or very likely budgets would shift from TV to digital video, and 70% on the buy-side of the equation agreed, per IAB. Video for preroll and social media were the most likely beneficiaries of the trend worldwide, according to AOL's Be On.
