Feds tap McAfee exec for cybersecurity position

The chief technology officer of McAfee is leaving to take on a new role in the U.S. government. Phyllis Schneck, who also serves as chairman of the board of directors of the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance, has been named deputy undersecretary for cybersecurity for the National Protection and Programs Directorate, a role designed to augment federal cybersecurity efforts.
