Forget left and right and embrace whole-brain creativity

It's widely thought that the right hemisphere of your brain is the creative side, but new research suggests that view may be dead wrong, writes Scott Barry Kaufman. Brain scans of people engaged in creative activities show a messier, more interconnected process drawing on a range of brain structures from both hemispheres. "It's an exciting time for the neuroscience of creativity, as long as you ditch outdated notions of how creativity works," Kaufman writes.
