Gambling provides Fla. with $1.4 billion in tax dollars

Florida gambling generates nearly $1.4 billion in tax revenue through slot machines, racetracks and tribal casinos. This fall, Florida lawmakers will consider expanding gambling in the state to allow destination casinos. Las Vegas Sands, Genting and Wynn Resorts are among the companies that have looked at building casinos in Florida.
