Indian rupee falls to historic low

India's currency hit a value of 64 rupees to the U.S. dollar, the lowest value ever recorded on foreign exchange markets. Currency dealers said they feared the rupee will drop further because the central bank has tried to stop the currency's fall for three months without success. The rupee has lost 16% of its value against the U.S. dollar this year.
