Katy Perry teams with Pepsi to build VMA Twitter chatter

Pop singer Katy Perry is teaming up with Pepsi to generate buzz for her new album with a social media campaign that allows fans to tweet with the hashtag #KatyNow to unlock clues that will lead them to two new Perry songs available through a dedicated Pepsi microsite. Fans can then vote via Twitter for one of two songs to become the singer's next single. The winning song will be announced Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards just before Perry's live performance.
