For many, mobile devices displace laptops for retail research

More than 40% of consumers opt for mobile devices over laptops for researching retail products, according to a JiWire study. The report also says retail stores are the top commercial venue for mobile usage. "Providing a Wi-Fi service in-store, with value added information to improve the shopping experience, will engage their customer on the device they have with them at all times, particularly when shopping," said JiWire President David Staas.
