N.Y. students do the math on the "stuf" in Oreos

A student-run experiment designed by a high-school math teacher in Queensbury, N.Y., has revealed that Double Stuf Oreos are about 1.86 times the size of the regular cookies, and Mega Stuf Oreos are about 2.68 times the size. Teacher Dan Anderson said the experiment, which included measuring and weighing the cookies and the cream and completing basic calculations, was developed to engage students in consumer math.
