S.C. district tests program that plays audio messages on school buses

Horry County, S.C., will test a high-tech system in 10 school buses this year modeled after bus tours in Disney World. Under the program, the buses will be outfitted with an audio system that plays various messages -- including safety warnings -- at certain locations, tracked through a GPS system installed in the buses. The buses selected for the pilot program had the highest number of discipline issues.
