Survey: Wage growth is being outpaced by health insurance costs

Premiums that workers pay for family health coverage increased 6% last year, while their premiums for individual coverage rose 5%, according to a survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research & Educational Trust. Wages in the past year, meanwhile, rose by 1.8%. The annual premium increase, however, was the second lowest since 1999, when the survey was first conducted.
