This summer, top chefs and local radio stations in New York City threw Hawaiian-themed bashes, indicating that Kahlua pork, fried rice and other island favorites might be hitting more restaurant menus in the city soon. Andrew Carmellini's The Dutch turned out a Hawaiian feast featuring seasonal ingredients during its luau bash, and Momofuko Milk Bar's Christina Tosi recently traveled to Hawaii in search of the island's signature sweets.
