Wood Shake Roofs Ignite Around San Jose Blaze

Earlier this week, the largest fire in the city's history destroyed a huge section of the $500 million Santana Row shopping and residential project that was under construction. Nearby buildings that also burned had wood roofs, raising concern over the other older structures in town with similar materials.
