Kansas City sees commercial building boom

A building boom is under way in Kansas City, where nearly every part of the metro area has new retail stores, office properties and senior living communities going up. The downtown is seeing a renaissance with the building of the $850 million Power & Light District and the Sprint Center, and the commercial activity is allowing companies headquartered in other cities to set up local offices.
