Long-term exercise may have more benefits for women than men

A new study of mice shows that long-term, moderate exercise stimulates a sex-dependent cardiac change that makes cardio workouts more beneficial for women than men. Researchers found the female mice that exercised regularly developed a beneficial heart enlargement and a 20% drop in levels of a protein that is linked to heart disease in humans.
