Lower-fat dairy products help fight cholesterol

Physicians should encourage lifestyle modifications in patients with high cholesterol and use drugs as a last resort, some experts say. Switching to low-fat and nonfat dairy products and fat-free cheese is a healthy dietary change to start with, as well as choosing ice milk or ice cream with half the fat.
