Panama condo boom will depend on American retirees

A building boom in Panama City, Panama, that consisted largely of speculative buyers is beginning to fizzle as the condo market in rival cities such as Miami slows down. As many as 380 tower projects with more than 40,000 condo units were under way or announced as of July, but some are wondering if the hoped-for hordes of American retirees are going to materialize in the city.
