Travel prices are up, but not as much as many think

Travelocity took a closer look at the cost of summer vacations and found that while prices are up, the perception is much different from reality. "There's no arguing that the cost of air travel is up," said Amy Ziff of Travelocity. "But the mistake many travelers make is ... ending their vacation search based on that alone. Hotel pricing in many cities has stayed relatively flat compared to 2007."
