Airline chiefs: Boeing confident 787 will fly in 2009

Boeing is reportedly seeking to assure its big airline customers that the much-delayed 787 Dreamliner will make its first flight by the end of 2009. Publicly, Boeing is remaining tight-lipped, with no update on the 787 time line expected before the end of September.
