Canada purchases land for Detroit bridge project

The Canadian government this week purchased land that will be part of a plan to build a new Detroit River bridge between Windsor and Detroit. However, Michigan officials have yet to purchase the land where the bridge would be anchored in the U.S. The U.S. side of the project is facing a legal challenge from the owner of a different bridge who plans to twin it without using taxpayer funds.
