Fewer workers at BASF German plant are on shortened workweeks

As chemical demand stabilizes, BASF has reduced the number of employees it has working shorter shifts at its main German plant from about 600 at the end of July to about 300. The company said its goal is to be able to go without shorter workweeks at the plant in September.
