Insulation-embedded frames company is finalist for clean-tech prize

A composite concrete-and-steel framing system -- with embedded insulation -- developed by Wisconsin-based Lightweight Structures helps a building garner green-building credits and cuts down on energy bills. Because they're prefabricated, installation can be done more quickly and can save on costs as well, says Jim Jendusa, company founder and president.
