Louisiana town allows residents to install their own propane tanks

The Abita Springs (La.) Board of Aldermen approved on Tuesday a proposal that would allow residents who have no access to the town's natural gas services to install their own propane tanks to power their homes. A resident must be at least 300 feet away from the town's natural gas services, and the propane tank must be shielded and must not exceed 250 gallons for installation to be allowed.
