Verizon eyes revenue from energy-savings services

Verizon Communications, which predicts that energy-saving measures at its buildings can cut its carbon output by 50% in three years, hopes to expand its cloud-based program to its enterprise clients. "It's a scalable solution," said Verizon's Kyle McNamara, who outlined other ways the carrier is trying to build a revenue stream by offering utility services beyond smart meters.
