Brands adopt Google Glass ahead of user base

Branded applications for Google's Glass project are moving ahead despite a beta-testing audience of only 10,000 for the wearable computer. Facebook, Evernote, Elle and CNN are on board with "Glassware," as are Fidelity, with an app for reading stock quotes, and, offering hands-free recipe retrieval. Developers and analysts say they want to be out front on Google Glass, to familiarize themselves with the application programming interface and to generate publicity.
