Cable paves the way for 2013 media advertising growth

Media ad revenues have grown roughly 10% in the first half of 2013, in terms of ad revenues, thanks to big gains by national cable TV and local advertising, according to the Standard Media Index. Local cable networks ad revenue gained 9%, while national cable networks' ad revenue grew 5% when compared with the first half of 2012.
