Distillery mistake leads to Wild Turkey Forgiven whiskey

08/21/2013 | FoodBev.com

Wild Turkey Bourbon Distillery is expected to nationally launch its new 91-proof, small-batch bourbon and rye whiskey called Wild Turkey Forgiven later this summer. The mixture was initially a mistake, but the combination of 78% 6-year-old bourbon and 22% 4-year-old rye turned out to be "a one-of-a-kind taste," said Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell. Wild Turkey Forgiven will be available in limited quantities at an SRP of $49.99.
