Streets in a New Jersey development will be completed after the Woodstown borough council called in performance bonds on the project. The cost is expected to be less than the $292,700 bonds held by the original contractor. The council also was able to contract for thicker roadways than those specified by the original developer. "This is the first time the borough has ever had to call in a performance bond from a contractor who did not finish the work he had committed to finish. Getting us to this favorable point was a two-year team effort," said Mayor Don Dietrich.
