N.Y. mayor: Cities' risk too great to delay climate change action

Cities worldwide need to be "on the frontlines" in addressing risk posed by climate change because they are home to more than 50% of the population, writes New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, chairman of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. "[C]ity leaders are not wasting time debating the science of climate change or waiting around for international treaties to be signed; we are taking action," Bloomberg writes. "There's simply too much to do and too much at stake."
