Russia's anti-gay law raises concerns for travel industry

Many travel firms have decried a new legislation in Russia that prohibits the "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations among minors." Tour operators have raised concerns that the new law could leave LGBT clients without protection from violent anti-homosexual acts. "It's certainly raised concerns for me, as a travel agent specializing in gay travel. I have had a number of people tell me that they would definitely not be traveling to Russia because of the new anti-gay legislation and the recent rash of violence toward the gay community," said Tom Stephens of Cruising With Pride.
