SABIC hires Linde to build world's largest carbon-capture plant

SABIC has hired Linde to build a plant in the industrial city of Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to capture and use 1,500 tons of carbon dioxide per day. The plant, expected to be the world's biggest of its type, would capture carbon dioxide from ethylene plants for use in SABIC's petrochemical plants. "This is the first of many other similar projects to be executed next year," said Yousef Al-Zamel, SABIC's executive vice president for chemicals.
