SAP mixes social intelligence with customer management

SAP has unveiled its Social Contact Intelligence application that can help companies match social profiles with customer history data to generate better leads and incorporate product opinions expressed by customers. The service integrates with customer relationship management platforms and is in its "ramp-up" phase with a core group of clients. Social media is such a disrupting force that "we've realized the CRM market is evolving faster than CRM products," said Jamie Anderson, SAP's vice president of customer solution marketing.
