More than three-quarters of consumers say they may hesitate to buy applications because of their experience with digital bugs, according to a Soasta survey. "Our research has shown that many mobile applications are not properly tested before they are delivered to consumers. In the physical world, marketers test their advertising, store concepts and messaging to ensure they resonate with consumers," said Peter Galvin, Soasta's senior vice president of marketing. Another factor is a lack of transparency over privacy, a MEF report says.
