Trial begins for Respicardia's sleep apnea device

Respicardia has enrolled the first patients in a clinical study evaluating its remede System, an implantable device used to treat patients with sleep apnea. The pivotal trial, which involves patients at medical centers in Kansas City, Mo., Columbus, Ohio, and Lincoln, Neb., eventually will be expanded to include 25 U.S. centers and some European sites.
