Vendors increase focus on virtual desktops

Microsoft says its upcoming release of Windows Server 2012 R2 will include an updated version of Hyper-V with a shared virtual hard disk, storage quality of service and two options when choosing virtual machine generations. Separately, AFORE Solutions announced new encryption software that is focused on protecting data in systems where Microsoft Windows applications are being employed, including the virtual desktop.
