ComScore: Mobile apps account for majority of digital usage

Mobile applications account for 52% of American users' digital time, while mobile as a whole takes up 60%, according to a comScore study. On smartphones, 88% of user time is spent in apps, while 82% is spent on tablets. Users spend most of their time on Facebook, and comScore says social media, radio and games are the top three types of apps that eat up users' time.
