Report: Gay characters underrepresented on TV

Only 1.3% of the 679 regular lead and supporting characters in returning and new TV series this fall are lesbian, gay or bisexual, according to "Where We Are on TV," a new study from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. The lack of representation, according to GLAAD officials, is compounded by the end of the eight-year run of the groundbreaking series "Will & Grace."
