Analysis: Vodafone will likely wait until 2010 for Verizon dividends

Analysis by The Financial Times predicts that Vodafone will not see dividends from Verizon Wireless until at least 2010, even though Vodafone executives have pegged 2009 for payments to resume. "Our first goal is to continue to grow both the top line and bottom line of Verizon Wireless. I think, in this case, we can deploy capital better by reinvesting in the business than moving towards a quicker dividend," Verizon Communications CEO Ivan Seidenberg said.
