Canadian officials warn of death, illnesses from listeriosis

An outbreak of listeriosis that is believed to be linked to tainted deli meats was responsible for at least one death and 13 of the 38 reports of the bacterial illness in Ontario, Canadian health officials confirmed. Seventeen of the Ontario cases remain under investigation, as officials continue to look for the source of the contamination.
