EDC for clinical trials becomes more popular

Twenty of the world's top pharma firms use electronic data capture rather than paper case-report forms for at least some of their clinical trials, according to the senior director of Oracle's Health Sciences Global Business Unit, who also foresees continued growth over the next few years. But EDC systems need to be more scalable than they now are and be made interoperable unless consolidations occur in the industry.
