FCC: Ban wireless mics in auctioned frequencies

Prompted by the 2009 digital transition and complaints that users of wireless microphones were operating them without a license, the FCC has proposed banning those that operate in the 700-MHz spectrum -- the frequencies the FCC auctioned off earlier this year. Further, the FCC has directed its enforcement division to begin an inquiry into how wireless microphones are marketed.
