GSK to publish information about grant-giving efforts

GlaxoSmithKline said it will proactively disclose educational and charitable grants offered to hospitals, teaching institutions and other health-related groups in the U.S. The plan, set to begin in February 2009, came after Congress's call for increased public transparency of grant-giving activities among drug and medical-device makers.
