Study: HRT doesn't preserve muscle mass in women long-term

U.S. researchers found that taking estrogen or combined estrogen and progestin did not protect postmenopausal women from muscle deterioration after six years, suggesting that hormone replacement therapy may not have long-term benefits for preserving muscle mass.
