Texas energy company sees Black Gold in LTE

A Houston energy company is betting that it can improve its efficiency and cut costs by deploying LTE-technology equipment from Alcatel-Lucent in its Texas and New Mexico oil fields. Texas Energy Network said it will test whether LTE will improve critical access to the Internet, which it uses to deliver data updates on its drilling efforts.
