25 more cities on tap for Verizon's LTE network

Verizon Wireless plans to add 25 more cities, mainly in the Midwest, to its 4G Long-Term Evolution network on Sept. 15, which will bring the total coverage area to 142 cities and regions. "We're aggressive in the deployment of 4G LTE because we have a huge first-to-market advantage -- more than a year -- over what AT&T says it's going to be building eventually," said Jeffrey Nelson, a Verizon spokesman.
