Bite-counter device may help dieters with portion control

Researchers used military technology that tracks body movement to develop the Bite Counter, which records the number of bites a person takes while eating. Registered dietitian Marjorie Nolan, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association, says the gadget could be a "good tool for someone who generally knows what is healthy and unhealthy but maybe has more of an issue with portion control."
